BEHIND THE LENS

We all have pictures from when we were kids where we were placed in front of some obscure background, bodies contorted into some awkward position and then asked to smile as though that moment - which was forever frozen in time - was the true essence of who we were.

Being a mother has taught me that the beauty of life is not in the psuedo-perfect, but in the real, everyday moments of laughter, tears and life experiences.

That is why I love to take pictures which celebrate REAL life. The photos I take attempt to capture families and children in their essence. As time moves on, memories may fade, but a great photograph celebrating the art of real life, will forever remain.
