Happy Easter!

I hope you enjoy a few of our family pics from today and pray God’s blessing on you this Easter.   May we all joyously celebrate the risen King and the magnificent Easter promise: “If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who lives in you.” (Romans 8:11) Happy Easter!

And I had to add this one of Baby C…compensating for being forced to wear a pink tie!  :)

Thank You!

This Thanksgiving I am so thankful for all of you that have asked me to do pictures for you!   With the busyness of business this time of year it’s easy to be distracted from being grateful for family, friends and such great photography clients!   Hope you enjoy a few pics from some of my recent sessions:

Sweet Home Alabama

Nearly 11 years ago my baby brother informed us he had fallen in love with a girl he met at Samford University and was planning to marry her.  Tegan Sachs was from a little, unknown-to-us town called Guntersville.  It’s a beautiful little town that sits on a lake with the same name about 30 minutes outside Hunstville, Alabama.  Little did we know that not only would we fall in love with her but also with the entire Sachs family — and even that little town of Guntersville.  In fact, our family loved the Sachs family, the town and all of Lake Guntersville so much it has become the home of my parents and my grandparents as well.  It truly has become our Sweet Home Alabama.

Greater Than The Pain Of Falling

POSTED BY PHIL RUSSELL:

What is it about young girls and their love for horses?   Our eleven year old daughter is no different which makes it difficult for someone who lives smack dab in the middle of suburbia.  Thankfully we have generous friends who allow us to ride with them regularly.

So many well-meaning folks have tried to tell us that it’s just some phase. “She’ll grow out of it,” they say.

Yet recently we realized this isn’t just some phase.  Our daughter’s love for horses runs deep and is depicted in the picture below.  My wife, Lisa, captured it just moments after our daughter fell off this horse while galloping.  No, this is no phase.  Her love for horses is greater than the pain of falling.
